What a pointed question! I do not answer questions just for the points - what would be the point of that. It would be a pointless exercise!
I like to (try to!) help people and points mean that I can answer more. It is so annoying when you run out of answers when you are on a roll! I'm more nosey than anything! for example, why do you use this forum? Why did you ask the question? Mainly, I like challenges and finding out new things. And some of the questions really get me thinking - and often laterally!
So I think everyone uses the forum for points!
