I think they are children or..they have childish minds and think they are getting away with something "nasty". I wish everyone would ignore them and NOT answer their questions. They would then go play somewhere else.

I'm assuming that you have seen a couple of the questions that I seen tonight. It is sick and I think it is probably for shock effect. Still it is a little scary that someone would even type those things in. Why do they want to shock people. What will they do when this is not shocking enough for them?

I think it's both shock value and actual curiosity. Some questions despite their content have value to the person asking the question. It depends on the intent of the person asking. I would guess it's more likely for shock value if the wording of the question is done such to elict some sort of emotional reaction aka "shock value" than it was being asked for an actual intelectual reason.

Everyone is curious and sick in their own way...right?
Some people have learned the art of self control. Personally I find gentlemen (and ladies...though women don't seem to be as perverted in situations like Yahoo! Answers) much more attractive than someone who just comes out and bluntly says something sexual. Don't you?

I'm sure shock value is part of it. Bad parenting...wrong role models, and people putting up with it - I'm sure all these are factors. Perversity feeds itself.

I think they get a depraved kick out of the shock value. They have no idea of how to live in a respectable society.

"Normal" people? Is anyone really normal?

I think it is for the shock value and attention as well.

In a democracy, this happens. Check out the good ones, and ignore the bad ones. Remember, in a democracy all the "wackos" have freedom of speech.

They are called Trolls, trying to bait people into giving them attention. They sit and giggle with every answer they read. Most often they are males posing as females. Welcome to the wonderful world of Yahoo messages.

Yes, they do it for shock value, because they are young, immature and have too much time on their hands.
