Cuckoo clocks are NOT a Swiss thing, although it's often stated.

Cuckoo clocks originate in the Black Forest in Southern Germany where most of them are handcrafted today (besides industrial products).

I don't know where the original cuckoo clocks would be sold near Amsterdam.

Anyway, there is a web delivery service...

Nothing in Amsterdam I'm afraid, but.. Go to The Hague. There's a shop called "Kaatje aan de Rijn", its address is Reinkenstraat 18. From Amsterdam, grab the intercity to The Hague Central Station - should take you 50 minutes. The shop sells cuckoo clocks (koekoeksklokken in Dutch) but I'm not sure they're handmade and all. Check http://www.kaatje.com . Alternatively, try Haarlem, a city even closer to Amsterdam (15 minutes by train). See the website http://www.klokkenspeciaalzaak.nl/ and browse to 'klassieke klokken' (classic clocks) to see what they have on offer. They're supposedly the biggest clocksellers in all of the Netherlands - so if you cannot find it there.. Then grab the ICE express train to Duesseldorf or on to Frankfurt (1.5 hours - 3 hours tops). In Germany, such clocks are more widely available. Try this site for some good clockmakers in Germany: http://www.schwarzwalduhr.de/ .
