You are her mother and you would be worried about her future if you lived in Utopia. I have three kids (15, 11 and 8) and I worry about them all the time. It's part of the job I'm afraid :0) But the other part is getting the huge joy of loving them and helping them to develop and grow the very best they can. When you give birth you say "hello" to the limitless world of suddenly insurmountable danger which never bothered you before. It just shows how much you love her Peaceangel and good for you! But you will learn to get the fear under control. If your baby is only 3 months old then your hormones are still running your life and it's hard to sort stuff out rationally. But that doesn't mean I'm not still worried about my lot too lol Try to have fun and live every minute of these precious early days - you've heard it before but they are gone in a heartbeat. Have a ball loving your beautiful baby!

I wouldn't worry. People have been agonizing over whether it was a "good time" to have children as far back as I can remember...and at least two generations have grown to adulthood and had their own children in the meantime.
Think about the children who were born in 1939, or 1914, or right before the First World War, or the Civil War, or the Thirty Years War, or during the Black Death, or any other historical crisis as far back as history stretches; I'm sure all their parents worried if the political climate was good for raising a child or not.
What effects a child most isn't politics, it's their home life. I've yet to meet anyone who has told me, "Gee, I wish my parents had waited for a _________ administration before they had me." But I have meet far too many who complain about their parents inattention, addictions, separation/divorce, etc.

Parents are always fearful for their children - it will get worse before it gets better.
Don't worry about the political climate - just worry about your reactions to her growing up!
She will amaze you
Congratulations, and Good Luck in bringing up your daughter

I have a 15 yr old girl and a 9 year old boy. I am so afraid for their futures. Thankfully my son has a job waiting for him to be 15 but things could change there.
My daughter is a very bright girl and I think she will get along in life.
I am afraid for the life my kids will have so I do not blame you for your worry. We do not know what our own future will be. The way the NHS is going we will have no health care and no schools as they want miracles but will not fund.

People grow old and adapt to what's happening in the world.
Todays political climate will have changed drastically by the time she has to worry about it so just play life by ear and stop worrying about it.
It won't get you anywhere

You have to fearful for her period. (AS the Americans would say).
Not just because of the political climate.
Just because you are her parent.
Guide her as you see fit in a well balanced way if you can. Don't become paranoid, that's unhealthy.(!)

I'd be more worried about wether your daughter will have energy to sustain the level of technology we have attained or indeed if we'll be under water by the time she is an adult.
