All people have slips of the tongue. It's just a side effect of being able to make all of the mental computations that are necessary to utter a sentence. Sometimes, something you don't mean to really say comes out. It's not that big of a deal, but yes, it can sometimes be very embarassing.

The Freudian slip? Sure, they can be embarrassing, especially if they're something sexual and it's in a formal setting.
