the cutlass is a 468 and has about 500 HP its not done yet so we're estimating what time we could get on a quarter mile track. We put a brand new suspension on the 71' Oldsmobile Cutlass 468.

If it's a Cutlass I reckon that it would take about an hour and a half since you would only get about ten feet before it breaks down. You would then either need to wait for a ow truck or a push.

Take any weight off of it? If not, you might break into 14's with slicks. 71 was a very heavy car. Take the bumpers and back seat out for another 1/2 second.

A 3500lb car @ 500hp = 12.25 . A 3000lb car @500 = 11.5 . A 2500lb @ 500hp = 10.8 Its real easy to over estimate power. Its a bragging rite thing , but this should get you close.

click on mortech.com and they can tell you if you have the weight of the car and the exsact horsepower it will be able to tell you how fast it goes.
