I'm trying to decide whether to continue college or not. I'll tell you a bit about me, as I’m not really your typical college freshman.
I started my first business at 15 years old selling collectible cards online and later went to start a magazine for young entrepreneurs, which grew to 7 columnists.
Most recently I started non-profit organization for charities, which grew to about 10 people and landed some impressive clients while appearing on press.
I *was forced to* major in engineering (long story). The course load sucked away all my time to pursue my own endeavors.
Hence, I'm thinking of whether to even finish college, as it seems like a total waste of time. I haven't made millions yet, but I DID succeed in a number of other things. Getting very influential people to take serious a guy at my age seriously is NOT easy, but I managed to do it.
Should I continue college? Are the years better off on business? Thanks!

It's always good to have a college degree in case for some reason your business tanks.

People will take you even more seriously when you have a degree. There are many ways that you can do both. You can go to school part time...that would drag it out forever...or try to find a school that has flexible classes. I go to school on-line, so I can go to school full time and work full time with less problems. You could completely focus on college and go year round to finish early. Do what fits best, but get a degree. It is easier to get a degree when you are younger. If you really don't want to go to school for engineering switch to a different degree--something in business. If you like engineering I would stick with it though.

Remember to have some fun too!!

stay in school and switch to business. According to federal law FERPA, you parents don't have to know what your major is. Surprise them a graduation. Sound horrible, but if your inclined to take that route you might as well have something besides an old track record of events.
Think Ahead. Every one gets the 2 year itch.

I think you should do it honestly..Forget the crap about school is going to teach you how to make it in life...it doesnt...education is latin for educo meaning "to grasp from"....I went to a Big 10 school and most of my friends with degrees are broke...some are doing well but none are living carefree lives that we should be living...I think you have a great platform to take what you will learn in school to expand your thinking to another level....you may be thinking of making thousands upon thousands of dollars and school...a good school rather will show you how to take what youve already done and apply that to a global market...and lets be real...im 26 and Im a marketing genius and I know it becuase all the bestsellers teach things that I already knew in a regergitated format over and over...but people still looked at me funny when they came to pitch our business as I am the resident Marketing Manager....so the degree does 2 things....makes you more credible for corp america and it also sends you into a world full of other people with other dreams other lives and other backgrounds...college is about exposure and experience...best times of my life to be honest and Im going to get my MBA this fall...the ultimate entrepreneur is the one that learns from every angle possible including school..its the ultimate way to understand how to think, develop, implement and overall..SUCCEED at levels that most people cant even dream of...so...go to school...find a good girl and marry her too...the best girls are in school..thinking, learning, challenging themselves to be better....trust me...lol..the last tip was on the house....if you have any questions email me and let me know what your company does or if your possibly need any marketing consultation work..industry doesnt matter...same principles that apply to airlines, fast food, ecommerce and Wal Mart apply to everything else....marketing is my language man..lets talk

If you've just finished your first yr in college, you should be able to switch your major to one of business. If it's offered at the university.
Finishing college will be better in the long run, should something go wrong economically speaking.

Life is not about money. It is partly about discipline, accomplishment, and maturity. You get all those by finishing college and probably none of them by quitting.
