It's a craniumectomy. It involves removing your Democrat head from your Democrat a s s. Once your head is out of your a s s, you can be a Republican.
In some rare cases your head may be in too far to remove. In that case I suggest installing a clear plastic belly button so you can follow the Republicans while still being in a Liberal position. We call these people Independents.
