Sure, I think its coming and coming fast. That is why there is so much backlash from the political right. There are not as many people against gay rights, including gay marriage as they would have you think. They just make a lot of noise. And they do it a lot these days because in the long run they are losing ground. We'll have some losses in some states and some courts, only because the Bush and Cheney's of this world put a lot of money and clout behind it, but in the long run, the American people are fair, and more and more, as we come out, they realize that they have gay friends and relatives and we are good people just like they are. Our day is coming,a nd it's right around the corner.

Gays run in elections NOW and are elected...have been for years. Barney Frank, D. Mass has been in office forever. Gay mayors, etc. are elected all the time. People are more and more voting for the ability, not the bedroom. Not everyone is a bible thumping lunatic...just a few..and most of them are right here.

There are quite a few gay people who have been elected to public office. Most source credit Elaine Noble in MA to be the first back in the 1970s. Of course, you should include the martyr Harvey Milk, SF Supervisor murdered in 1978.

Try googling this to see lots, lots, lots of others.

I doubt it. It will take a long time before that happens. Lately in the world, there has been more hate. It would be great if it did happen but the government would disapprove. I don't even think the world will last till 2020.

The stigma associated wiht homosexuality is fading. It will take time. Just as Black people have fought for over 200 years for respect and only have a modicum now so it will be with the gay community

Why? I don't care. Homophobia is the fear of homosexuals. I do not believe anyone fears them, they are pathetic and not to be feared. Just pity them. How anyone can believe that being homosexual is normal is not playing with a full deck. They are one French fry shy of a happy meal. It is deviant behavior to be kind about it. If it is not a choice than how do they reproduce? If you believe you are born gay than refrain from having sex, if for health reasons alone. You do not need to have sex to be gay.

Hopefully so.

In fact, looking back at history, the acception of homosexuals should be imminent. Black people were treated as the lowest of society once, women were thought of as only good as bed-mates... look where these people are now.
