I would tell the little ungrateful piece of sh*t that living in my house is a privilege not a right.
And that he is welcome to come back home when he's ready to follow the rules of the house...and until then the locks will be changed and his stuff will be on the lawn.
He is not the one who worked his butt off for 30 years to make a nice place for him to live, and to buy the house and probably give his punk *** a car and feed him for free for the last 16 years...he has no right what so ever to cop an attitude...and I'd remind him of just how good he has it...
And until he remembers that and until he said he was sorry for being an idiot...he would not be welcomed in my house.
Kids nowadays are disrespectful self indulgent brats...and it's high time that parents remember that it's not their job to be your kid's friend...it's your job to teach that child to be a respectable human being...Black mail and extortion are not respectable things to teach a child...so if my kid ever pulls sh*t like that...he'll be learning the lesson of a lifetime...dont give an inch or he'll take a mile.
Teach that kid some damn respect...he may have a change of heart when he doesn't have any gas money, and no money for food and has been wearing the same underwear for the last three days...
That's total bullsh*t and it makes me mad to think a kid would be so rude and disrespectful and ungrateful. Not only that but if he gave me that line about "You pushed me away by being too strict"...that's a total line of bullsh*t too...take responsibility for your actions kid...there are rules, you know what they are ...follow them or get out...it's that simple...be a man and friggin follow the rules..don't be a big puss and blame your mommy for being "too strict"...it sounds like any kid that would pull that sh*t or say that needs a good a$$ whoopin...maybe a week working in a homeless shelter will teach that brat just how easy his life is.

me, being a 16 year old girl putting myself in a parental position...i would think the kid was an irrisponsible litthe,...you know what. any kid that runs away from home to make a point about parents being strict is stupid. thats the worse thing to do. that would make them more strict because you might run off again
if you or whoever has already done this tehy are screwed but if niot they should reconsider...instead put themselfs in thiere parent's shoes and then talk like aults about it...

I'm only 15 but I'll place myself in a parental position. I would be frightened as hell if suddenly your child is just missing. I probably would've called the cops and such by then and crying my eyes out. I would probably also say anything just out of the heat of the moment (blah blah yes you can have a car! you can have a tv! just come home) but I probably wouldn't abide by it. From then on, I would probably be even MORE strict due to my child's irresponsibility.

MAN tough one!!!! I have a 15 year old son and thankfully we r extremely close and talk about everything! It would probably kill me to think of him out in this world all alone as a teen. Id be a total wreck. So I would probably agree to re think things thru and then when he gets home try to change a few little things to make him a little happier but not change everything to his way! I would compromise but not give in to all his wants and desires!

Yo, if I had a teenage kid and he or she did that I would have a hard time trusting them. The rules would get stricter. If my teenage kid wanted to change the rules they better find a diffrent way to do it, like actually talking to me and their dad about it.

Keep him away and hope he gets killed by some bums over a homosexual gutter encounter gone sour. We need less of your kind in the world.
