i always see this.. Asians are known for martial arts and being smart, Japan anime.. japan shows are shown in american tv. young people grow up to love Asia and even become really intelligent about Asian stuff, sometimes even more than what they know about America itself. But they don't seem interested in South america even if we latins are all around usa.

Latin Americans are boring. Asians on the other hand have a completely different culture, and are exotic.

Because there have been inhabitants in Asia for hundreds of thousands of years.

The Americas are thought to have been first inhabited by people crossing the Bering Land Bridge, now the Bering strait, from northeast Asia into Alaska more than 10,000 years ago.

So I mean, the asians have had a longer time to refine their culture and way of life.

When the Irish came to America we were treated like a pile of ****.There were signs everywhere saying "no Irish need apply". My ancestors put their noses to the grindstone, fought in Wars, Joined the Police Force and did the work nobody else wanted to do. Today the Irish are respected and successful in America ( I think) and they have made me very proud to be an Irish- American.

Latin people who do not speak English in America are simply
foreigners here. Asians , for the most part have made the attempt and have learned the language of their new adopted country. Teddy Roosevelt once said, "one country one language."

Well it has to do with money and class. Asians have been incorporated into American culture for over 100 years now. If you recall the Chinese built the rail road which was essential to development of the western states. Also, in general, they have excelled in math and science. They are willing to completely assimilate into American culture even if it means denouncing their own. For example many of them have adopted more American first names like Jessica, Kelly and Scott to help themselves blend in. Some even have surgery to widen their eyes. This assimilation makes them welcome into America. Latin on the other hand fight to maintain their native culture and language. This will not bode well for moving up the American social ladder. Africans have been apart of American society for a long time too however but still remain at the bottom of the social ladder, just above latins. In short, the key to integrating into America is knowing the unwritten rule that whites are in charge...assimilate..Lose Jose and Pedro and turn it to Joe and Peter..Also, forget spanish..learn english. Do these things and you may improve your social status.

This is extremely subjective and really depends on where you are and who you hang- out with. America is notoriously racist period, yet I've had so much fun with all types of people. Though I understand what you're asking here, and I have noticed ideas and images of Asian superiority and of Hispanic inferiority, there are simply too many variables and deviations

Dah, let me see. Asians value getting as much education as you can get; believe that the individual is responsible for their own life not the government; and believe that people should not have children unless they are married. Need I say more?

I agree. Latin history is almost non-existent. I think Latin people have to make enough noise like Black people did to get Black History Month. Latin community leaders need to be the ones to start this. If you are persistent enough, you will get what you want.

A good point. Perrhaps of their work on the railroads (but why don't the Irish count, then?)

It all depends on a silent majority, in any race, that accepts that rotten apples represent them.
