Why are they making Clerks II? The first movie is over 10 years old and was made on a low budget. Can't there be any original movies, I enough sequels. Why or why?

It's funy that Kenin Smith s doing this since he has said before that he would not do a Clerks 2 and that there will not be anymore appearences of Jay and Silent Bob in any more of his movies. In any case, it's probably all about the money. I'll wait for it to go to video.

I saw Kevin Smith in an interview and he said that he was sitting around the house one day and noticed that the mortgage was due and he said huh... better get to work! I know that the first one was low budget but this one seems like it should be better. I like when the sequels to movies come out years later. It gives you time to wish that they would make another, get over it, then years later see that they ARE making another. I want to see it, but will probably wait til it comes out in video!

I've no idea. I've always thought the first one was an over-rated, self-indulgent, poorly-acted piece of crap. But then, crap rules at Hollywood anymore.
Hopefully in "Clerks II", some psychopath walks in and guns down the entire cast.
(Can you tell I just don't care for this movie?)

because Kevin Smith wanted o take his classic, into a new generation, the last one was about under acheiving twenty somethings, now they are still under acheiving and a decade older, its taking the same idea as the first one, but putting it to a new generation.
