I've heard that CITCO gets gasoline from Venezuela. What about the others? EXON, IRVING....?

Thank you, Salamander. I mean the raw product --oil. I buy is near the east coast of North America --United States and Canada.

Technically we get gasoline from refineries which reside within the U.S. The refineries need oil to create gas (and I'm assuming this is the answer you meant to get) and we get most of our oil from Canada. We also import from Venezuela and the Mideast but they are a relatively small percentage. BUT, because the mideast has most of the control over worldwide oil pricing, people have the misconception that we actually import most of our oil from there.

One of the main suppliers is Russia. Other places include, the Middle East, South America, the Gulf of Mexico and Canada.

Off shore feeds and Canadian feeds as well as Alaska and continental are all mixed and blended. The refineries take whatever feed is handy at the time. refineries on the East coast are more likely to use south american and middle eastern crude than refineries in the west which are more likely to use alaska and california, mostly because of the shipping routes.

edit: I live in Alberta, we supply about 10% of US oil.
