During my vacation to Texas I'd like to wear makeup but what tips and tricks are there to make it work in the humidity?

Use a mattifier or a primer under your foundation (i usually use MAC prep and prime, but now i use monistat anti chafing cream, it may sound totally wierd, but they have the same ingredients and its not the stuff to fight infestions, its like a clear gel and is 1/4 the cost of department store mattifiers.) Apply a thin layer over your face and eyelids and let set for 2 or 3 min, Next apply your foundation using a brush and building if you need more coverage. After letting foundation dry, set with a loose oil controling powder with kanolin (asian) clay or cornstarch (i like MAC loose blot powder, rice powder from sallys beauty supply or Bare escentials mineral veil)

I also carry a spritzer bottle of astringent to spritz when my face gets oily. After the asttingent evaporates, if there is oil left, I blot it with oil blotting papers (clean and clear are the cheapest and work good.) If there is any oil left, i then dust a fine coating of powder on.

Waterproof eyemake up is also a good idea. I would avoid any makeup on your lower lids as when it mixes with sweat and moisture, it can give that racoon look and I dont want some rancher shootin ya lol.

MINERAL MAKEUP is the answer. It never runs or fades or clogs your pores. You can even SWIM in it, because it's water-resistant for up to 30 minutes or so, so imagine how sweating and humidity won't make it run! Feels sheer and light, so it doesn't overheat your face! Also has a natural 15 to 30 SPF, which everyone needs to keep the sun from damaging and aging their skin.

Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals is the most famous - and the most expensive. Do a search for 'mineral makeup' on eBay - many, many brands of mineral makeup to choose from, and lots of great deals!!

I've been using the stuff for 2 years and I will NEVER go back! It's completely amazing stuff, and I wish I'd known about it years ago!

I live in Arkansas...aka "humidity capital of the world". lol Anyway, I don't do anything special to my makeup to keep it on all day. Sometimes I get oily if I'm outside a lot or if it's esspecially humid, so I simply use oil absorbing sheets. Don't try to reapply powder, you'll just get a cakey complexion. You can buy oil absorbing sheets at a local retailer like Wal*Mart or order them through makeup catalogs like MaryKay.

final note: less is more. If you plan to be outside a lot, just go with a more natural look. Use less foundation, or just use concealer where you need it. The more your skin can breath, the better. An oil control lotion might be helpful also (I know MaryKay sells one, but I don't know of any other brands).

Use a shine-free powder along with foundation that is liquid

Use a liquid waterproof makeup Maybelline works well and is inexpensive.

Eyeshadow I'd use a cream instead of powder substance, same with the foundation and even blush, try the stick blush

and I'd use waterproof mascara too.

and I'd just use chapstick instead of gloss

Go to the drug store or www.ulta.com depending on time

I have this problem, and can't stand runny makeup or beading powder on my face.
My skin is oily and pasty pale by nature.
This summer, I tried the Oil of Olay Touch of Sun moisturizer/building self-tanner (for face) with SPF in it. This took care of 2 major issues for me: Color and protect my skin. It's a self-tanner/moisturizer mix, so it lightly self-tans, which means no streaking. This has allowed me to just put on powder this summer. Hope this helps!

Touch-ups! Also, oil blotting sheets work great to reduce the amount you get oily and sweat, which means the make-up lasts longer. Also, use a finishing powder after you apply your regular make up. One that is sheer but a color closest to yours.

I heard spraying hairspray (lightly) on your face works. I doubt this, so i would just stick with anything labeled "waterproof". That what i do ( i live in miami), and it doesnt get much more humid than that!

Try using sheer foundation or a tinted moisturiser - they're not heavy and don't clog up your pores either - followed by pressed or loose powder.
