I was working as a temp for a company called The Computer Merchant which I was offered an assignment at a company called CSC! I was terminated from this job because "I was late". I just recently found out it was because "I was a distraction" in a male dominated work place where there were 4 females out of about 50 employees. I am very curvacious and dressed purposely very maude to avoid this because I dealt with it in the Army. What do you all think about this and can any one else relate I had to ask because it helps me vent!

all people are discriminated against all the time, for some reason or another, in some cases we should just let it go and don't let it get to us, but in some cases, in most, we should do something about it, to make discrimination end.

if you were unfairly terminated, even if you employer fired you using a justifiable reason, that could be called legally a "pretext"...

Oh yes, I can relate. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Looking for a job at age 50+ as a male was much the same except didn't even get to start. Finally had to start my own business.

well it wasn't for that reason, but i have been discriminated against for not being married and wanting to rent an apartment...the apartment complex would only allow married couples to live there...they said that married couples were more stable and apt to stay longer at his apartments...needless to say, i was a little upset about that...so we just didn't rent from them, but i didn't think that was very fair at all
