I had this question for the longest time...I would get SO fed up with goggles because they would fill up with water or fog up. Finally, I asked a friend of mine who swims almost daily and competes regularly, and she gave me some advice.

If your goggles fit you properly, they should work well. However, finding a perfect fit is what is hard for me. Most of the time, you have to actually take them out of the package and try them on, but most stores don't like that a lot! Try this test with goggles:

First, take them out of a package and then press them snugly against your face as you would with goggles in the water. If they stick to your face around your eyes for several seconds, they are a good fit. If not, try a different style. There are some designed specifically for women, some for men, and some for children, and many different options within those categories. Keep trying until you find a pair that sticks. I will mention that usually one lens stays on longer than another for me, but they do fine if that lens sticks for a few seconds before it comes off.

Anyway, once you have a good fit, which will probably be the resolution to most of your problems, then you can do several different things to prevent them from fogging. There are several different products that you can purchase (anti-fog) for your goggles. You can also purchase goggles specifically coated not to fog.

Rinsing them in water before you put them on also can help; however, I have found that you have to keep taking them off and sticking them in the water, so it frustrates me more!

I hope you can find something that works...good luck! :)

Go to an auto parts store and get some liquid defogger for windows...it works great on goggles! Don't apply it in the sun or to warm goggles. Hope this helps. :)

Another thing you can do is use shaving cream. I know it sounds weird, but it really works! I own a cleaning business and I use this on smaller bathrooms that tend to fog up when my clients shower. :)

It's kind of impossible. But this can work.
You take a pair of goggles and stick them in the water. Then put them on your face. This should work for about 15 minutes. Then you stretch the lens off your face while putting your head down to cleanthem again. ( this would not work with nose goggles.)

Wet your finger, rub a bar of soap. Apply the soap to the inside of the goggles ....... works everytime. Also works in the bathroom on the mirror

a tiny bit of dish soap mixed with a bottle of water in a spray bottle. Spray on the inside of the goggles, swish around, rinse in salt/pool water & you should be good to go!

Go to an automotive store and get some of that stuff you spray on your windshield to prevent fogging. It doesn't cost that much.

Sometimes it depends on what brand of goggles you are using.

by not getting the inside wet before you put them on... if they aren't wet they won't want to be... and won't fog...
