Sure would. And especially if some members of congress saw their own kin drafted.

The funny thing about the responses here...is you criticize the so called rich people for not having their kids serve, but how many of you serve or served this nation? It is a personal choice each person has to make, and it would do the military more harm with a draft than without.....the military gets far better people who volunteer because they can be selective.

So that's why we are not building a fence along the Canadain border!

Because if we did the richy republicans would have nowhere to send there children to if a draft happened like they did for the Vietnam War!

Don't you just love it when they tell you how patriatic republicans are when they buying bus tickets to Canada!

Love those draft dodgers!!!

why do people keep bringing up a draft? It would take an act of congress to reinstate the draft. It is not something one person can do. Besides, I love that the people who seem to want a draft are people that are out of the draft age range...

Yes, we should have a universal draft and it should apply to both sexes. I think politicians would think long and hard before launching a war when their own kids might die in that war. They don't seem to worry as much when they know little Johnny or Susie is busy playing tennis all summer.

Oh ya. It would become way less popular if kids who don't have the maturity or endurance went off to war. I think only grown people with the balls to support their country and defy the libtards should go to war.

We don't like drafts, and rightly so. As for the Reserves and so on, if you are trained with a rifle what do you think they want you for?
