Well, I guess if it is the "greatest" sin then it would have to be a sin against the "greatest" commandment which is, " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'~Matthew 22:37. Humanity's greatest sin would then be NOT to love God!

The opposite of sin is repent. People go out and do bad stuff without feeling guilty or bad. They just do it because it makes them feel better and not carrying for the rest. If most of humanity would repent from all the bad stuff, the world would be a little better.

Against whom?
Humanity's sin against humanity I suppose it is both the sin of unforgiveness and greed. Both of these lead to all the others.
Humanity's greatest sin against God it is the sin against love by not accepting the gift of the cross we sin against God's love, thus condemning ourselves to a tortured eternity .

pride. but it is also our greatest virtue.
think about it: pride comes before a fall, but if you falter, someone expects you to have the pride to pick yourself back up. it is the motivation for everything we do; pride convinces you that your views are worth having and defending, but it also convinces you that others' views are misguided and not as good as yours.
is it wrong to take pride in your work? no, but you should always consider other people's opinions of it, because that is the only way you will get an honest appraisal. we are all blinded by pride, we must trust others to help us see when it goes too far.

Humanity’s greatest sin - it’s basic compulsion to sin - and its inability to save one’s self.

The only great sin is that of intentionally doing something, or intentionally not doing something, which results in something detrimental to the survival of the species.
Of course the trick is to know what is detrimental before you do it (or don't) and that takes intelligence which is seemingly in short supply.
