Sometimes I understand the things that happen to me. Other times it is vary hard to pinpoint what caused it, why, who, when and where.
Some issues are out of my hands such as what mood my boss is in. Other things are in my control such as what time will I go to bed.
I try to balance what I have control of so that I can influence the things I do not have control of.
Sometimes we have indirect control of things such as getting on your bosses good side. Sometimes other managers see your good work and they tell your boss and soon you are not going to get chewed out.
Some things happen out of chance like disasters, other things are planned out.
I can go on and write a book on this one topic but I must stop to allow others to suggest their ideas.

yup, **** happens. Some of it is out of my control (traffic), but some of it is under my control (how i react or deal with the traffic). I don't everything happens for a reason, if our lives were all predetermined, how boring it would be and it totally goes against free will. Plus i don't believe in bad things happening to teach us things (when my sister was killed, people kept on telling me it happened for a special reason, and i shouldnt question gods will). Screw that! if there is a god out there and they take people out just to teach others a lesson, i dont want anything to do with it!

Yes, I do. It is two-fold; I am given free will (can make my own choices) and God's plan. Those two things are what happens to me everyday.

Because its no use controlling what will happen tomorrow.
What happen, happens because you have known it in your mind that it had happened.
But if you didn't know it, it won't matter, but it did happen.
