Measure length by width (if it is rectangular or square) by average depth of the pool. (in feet)

If it is round take the radius x radius x 3.14 x the average depth.

Take that answer and multiply by 7.48 and you will have the approximate number of gallons.

Or 9 x 9 x 3.14 x 3.5 (42/12) x 7.48 = 6659 gallons

Depth is not enough. You also need to know the width and the length of the pool as well.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. To figure volume one needs 3 dimensions, unless you have a redneck pool.
