I feel that the emotional side of war and other crimes is not portayed strongly enough. if we could use words to touch the souls of those who commit atrocities then maybe they would change their ways? What words would they be?

The horrors of war make money for some people. The more bombs built the more money they get. Greed is another reason for war. Greedy people want to take other peoples stuff, or break it.
Hate is a common theme for war, racial hate, religous hate etc.
The biggest issue is POWER over others and the best way to do that is earn a heck of a lot of money. What best way to do that is to start an arms race.

They should forget human power,culture, race. But start living and knowing God is in Control. As long as man is looked upon as the ulitimate authority. We will keep falling short of Gods glory because of our ways ideas and so on. Let the leaders seek of God and do his will. let the potter mould and make the vase.

if the media was less sanitized and the real effects of conflict shown in our living rooms each day instead of the edited, all the bodies gone, version shown, that might prevoke a reaction. The difference between a car bomb attack on a market shown on normal news and and an unedited version is staggering.

The biggest tragedy is that those people who commit all these atrocities think and make believe that they are the righteous ones, and they are not doing anything wrong.

I do believe money rules the world, and peace isn't a good profit deal. If it was the big corporations and money magnates had already made sure it ruled the world. They have millions and billions, if they wanted peace that would be done.

I think most people who are invovled in war and other crimes know that they make others suffer but just dont care enough or honstly feel they are doing the right thing.
As long as there is money,religion and power there will always be war and crime

It would be great if we could solve issues with terrorists/our enemies/etc. by talking to them, but we can't. If we try the only likely outcomes are A) failure, or B) the enemy pretends to agree with our terms to get us off their back, then they strike while we aren't looking. (especially true of Islamic terrorists, who think their God will reward them for slaughtering innocent "infidels")
