It wouldn't be that big a deal, I don't get why Americans are so scared of the idea of a female leader. Many countries have had female leaders in the past and they didn't fall to pieces or anything, in fact nothing changed really. These countries include The UK and India, as well as Germany and New Zealand currently.

personally i think women are biologically predisposed to plan farther out into the future than men. it's kinda like the perfect prescription for what has been ailing american leadership for some 6 years now. i'm all for it. america has been stumbling along now for quite some time with each new 'crisis'. making investments in our people that are designed to provide competetive advantages for our future generations (you know, like 20 years in the future, china is doing this as we chat, would be smart). if we are negligent in this regard, then our children would be justified in feeling and taking no responsibility for, our senior citizens and their retirment concerns. as generations forget to look after each other, our nations is clearly going down the wrong path. again, i believe women have a biological propensity to think about and plan for these outcomes more than men.
