Yes, there is such a thing as sexual addiction. It is an addiction like any other addiction however, sex addicts usually have a lot of their self esteem tied up in the attainment of sex. There are programs which can help you determine whether you have a serious problem and need help to change your behavior. The twelve step program is called Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous. or something like that varying from place to place. Also, there are many books available on the subject.
I would do a search on the internet to find a group in your area. I believe they are set up like a twelve step group and meet regularly to discuss the solution to addiction. The only problem with this type of addiction is that unfortunately, there is a lot of stigma attached to it. It is difficult to talk about in society. While alcoholism has become more acceptable in today's society, sex addiction has a long way to go before it becomes something you can discuss out in the open. Having said that, I want to encourage you to try out some of these groups and listen to what sex addiction is and see if you exhibit some of the same behaviors. If so, then you can give the programs a try. Addiction is a disease. It is seen as a disease by the American Medical Association and treatment usually includes counseling and twelve steps groups. Millions of people have recovered from their personal addictions, so don't give up hope. You are not alone and you have nothing to be ashamed of. I applaud you for asking your question and encourage you to look into getting some help. It can be a life changing experience in that you may find other ways to find fulfillment and purpose in life.
Good luck to you.
All the best.

First, ask yourself, "why is she saying that I'm addicted to sex?" Try to look at yourself the way she is seeing you. Do you badger her for sex all the time or in other words, is that all you want to do when you are with her?

Men and women are very different when it comes to sexual desire. Men sort of think that it is there job to make sure the world is populated and generally speaking think about sex more often than women do. I have been married 30 years and much of those years, occaisionally my wife would ask me, "is that all I'm good for (sex)?
