Marian Keyes is really good. I've only read her first couple of books though: Watermelon, Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married, Rachel's Holiday. She is SO FUNNY.

The Bridget Jones books by Helen Fielding are good. And in a similar vein, the Georgia Nicolson books by Louise Rennison gives us a glimpse as to what Bridget must have been like in her teens...The first one is Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging...(the dancing in my nuddy pants book which you were recommended is in this series of books). They are very funny; there are seven so far.

Quick and funny reads that I can recommend, with varying levels of steaminess are the Flipside series by Harlequin. I don't think they're publishing new ones any more, but you can surely find plenty in the racks at your library. I've never been a Harlequin fan but I got hooked on Flipside; they're easy reads, fun characters, and pretty darned funny, too!

Something Borrowed - author?
Confessions of a Shopaholic
Good in Bed - Jennifer Weiner

all a bit trashy but pretty good.

Funny AND good literature -- She's Come Undone - Wally Lamb.

Most are available at libraries. Have fun.

I would try the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evonivich (sp?) and keep your hands off of Ranger he's mine! Start with the first book of the series and go from there.

I liked "Good In Bed" by Jennifer Weiner. Or maybe "Jemima J" by Jane Green.
