It's easier than fearing the right things.

What are the wrong things? If the fear is there, it's there. When fear sets in, ask yourself why you are fearful. It's more complicated than you think. Sometimes we fear things because of something that happened to us as a child. You may not even remember it but it can be in your subconscious. Sometimes fear is brought on by a low self esteem. Fear is not always a bad thing. Fear is an emotion given to us to maintain our survival. Fear of fire, falling off cliffs, drowning, fear of getting hurt by someone stronger. etc.--all built in for survival. Even a tiny child can have these fears. Fear of failure is one tied to self esteem. It's all how you look at it and some fear is conquered with experience.

Well, everything has an amount of wrongness to it (especially depending on who you are), and I might also add that we also have an amount of fear to everything too; each "thing" obviously being completely different than the next. If someone feared, they'd avoid it/work with it,or go after it/get rid of it, or become "frozen" so to speak. We do these for all these acts anyway, so, how can we get to this question you are really trying to ask?

Fear came from our survival skills. Since we've tamed the wilderness, well, fear is still part of our make-up and we need to direct it somewhere.

As you pointed out we tend to fear the wrong things, however, I believe that even though we're fearing the wrong things, we're still close to labeling what perceive to be dangerous.

Perhaps fear itself is a cause of the meaning of "wrong". Fear is tricky,it just pointing out on consequenses , leaving for itself safe invisible shelter. We seeing "wrong" but do not see a master. There is no wrong things. Everything happen for reason. Drop your fears, do not replace it for braveness, just become fearless and there will be no wrong doing from your side...

Our personal fear relates to the abnormal more than the normal. For example, people are much more fearful of flying than driving, even though death or great injury is much more likely in a mile of driving than a mile of flying.

Media reports unusual dangers, not usual ones. We worry about our kids getting kidnapped (over 95% of kidnappings are related to divorce/custody issues), but don't drive safely in the car (which is #1 killer of children!).

We make incorrect associations. We worry about the germs on a bathroom door (low risk, but in a 'dirty area') but don't even think about the dishtowel or sponge we use to clean the dishes (very high risk!, even though it's used to 'clean' something)

Maybe because we don't know anything about the "wrong" things. You know, fear of the unknown.

fear is the emotion that causes us to be weak, not having faith, and not knowing what life purpose is, fear is not wrong, but it is something that can be controled
