I am not so sure if other comics/comedy actors of that era have "aged" as well (e.g. Chaplin, Keaton)...but those blithering boys are still fun!

Hi, GeekieV
You certainly like your classics. (I'm pleased to hear.)
Ollie & Stan in Way Out West (1937) a classic.

Ollie & Stan in the Hotel room. Ollie partly stripped.
Stan suggests to Oliie, as he's got half his clothes off, to take the oppotunity and have a bath.
Ollie: 'Can't I have any privacy?'

A lot of comedy routines are still based on them.
Mousehunt (1997) a fine tribute to Laurel & Hardy.
-------

Norman Potter: 'I was a Desert Rat you know.'

Gotta love Laurel and Hardy. I don't think the skinny guy/fat guy combo will ever get old.
However, I also think that Chaplin and Keaton have aged very well. Chaplin's social messages are just as relevant as ever, and Keaton's stunts will blow anyone's mind in this age of cheesy special effects. That guy's a maniac.

I am really surprised how well they are holding up, but am more greatly impressed by Chaplin and Keaton. I consider Keaton the better of the three in performance and style.

Laurel and Hardy were great. They still are. They could make a lot of people laugh, and never had to resort to swearing in their films for comic effect.
