I think you are referring to when Coca-Cola was reputed to contain actual cocaine.
Cocaine was not illegal in those days. So there was nothing to convict them for.
Cocaine is also mentioned in the Cole Porter song "I Get a Kick Out of You" from the same time period.
Of course, today any product containing cocaine would only be available illegally or by prescription (there are some of those).

Cocaine was not illegal at the time, and Coco-Cola was originally sold for medicinal purposes. As soon as cocaine became illega, the company no longer used cocaine as an ingedient in Coca-Cola. -RKO-

back then when coke was first produced drugs were not illegal. You could buy marijuana, heroin all at the local store. And then came the LAWS and drugs were illegal, when they started to produce coke and not sell it off of wagons they took the coke out. They had alot more fun in the good old days!!
