Your logic is not logical. First, if you consider stem cell research to be ending a human life (I'm not saying I do or I don't, but if that's what you believe), then you must also believe that the human life is ending through no choice of its own - it's completely innocent and helpless and unable to stand up for itself. A soldier fighting in the war in Iraq was not forced to go there, because there was not a draft. They chose to join the military knowing that war could be a possibility at any time.
Second, the war in Iraq is not World War II, where a deployment order meant you wouldn't be coming home. There have only been a few thousand American deaths, and though they are tragic, going to Iraq is hardly the guaranteed death sentence you're trying to make it.
Next time you are trying to cleverly call on irony to make a point, try using your head instead of just your emotions.

That's like comparing apples to oranges. President Bush would most likely approve stem cell research of the stem cells did not come from "left over" human embryos. Why kill potential babies? Why not get the stem cells from the umbilical cords of newborns? Most people don't bank the cord blood, leaving a rich supply of stem cells unused. These embryos have no choice in the matter. Who knows what potential they might have if allowed to be born?
People make an informed choice to become a soldier. They know there is a strong possibility they will have to go to war at some time. President Bush is only doing what he believes is our duty and obligation to the world. Granted, there are other places that need our help and I wish we would help them. Our nation has been richly blessed by God. God intends for us to share our blessings with the world.

The troops you speak of SIGNED UP FOR DUTY, and clearly understood what that meant. Or do you feel they should get all the benefits of a G.I. but not have to actually be one?

if you can get bin laden and any other terrorists out there to give up peacefull y and guarantee that there will never be any wars or fighting ever again, then we can disband any army we would ever need. but you can't. people will always want to fight. thats all there is to it.

NO, those men and women chose to serve. They knew that there may come a time when they would have to die for their country. Babies do not choose to die, their life is taken.
