I have had mine done since grade seven and honestly, the pain was barely anything to worry about- it wasnt that bad and it only lasted a few minutes and i think its been totally worth it cuz if i hadnt done it i would still be worrying about whether or not to do it so just do it and if it causes you any problems u can always take it out- and remember, it cant be any worse than giving birth right:) lol (not that I know but im guessing)

There was no pain involved for me and I've never known anyone that took care of it, cleaned it right, etc to have it become infected. If you decide to ever remove it there's no more scarring than there is from having your ears pierced. Why do people who have no idea about certain things insist on answering, giving wrong/misleading info?

I had mine done eight years ago, and I was really surprised when the guy said it was over because I didn't feel a thing. If you get it done in a respectable place and then keep it as clean and sterile as possible with a saline solution, you won't have any problems. I'm still happy with mine.

it does not even hurt. What pain would you be referring to? It takes less time to pierce the belly than the ears. UGH some people

I got my belly button pierced when I was 17... back in 1988. Its still there. I love it. But wait until you're sure you want it. I've taken it out for a year twice and it never healed up... so its there for good.

The risk of infection is really hgh for belly and tongue piercings, so I would not do it.
Some people I know love theirs, but then I have other friends who have had horrible infections.
