The English word "world", often taken to mean the planet Earth,
also can mean "a long span of time". In the Bible, in the Old Testament, the Hebrew word, "Olam", which is translated as,
World, also can mean,Age, or long span of time. When the Bible
talks of the end of the world, it really should be translated as
"end of the age". This present age will end when Jesus returns.
There will be "Tribulations" or very hard times in the last few years before Jesus returns. In fact, In Matthew, chapter 24, Jesus
states that things will get so bad that if He didn't return, everyone
on Earth would die, and then He would return. So in essence,
just because things are looking bad, don't think that God is not in charge or that Jesus will not return. Jesus says in another place,
that these hard times just before He returns are like a woman's
labor pains just before she gives birth. That when the baby is born, she is so happy that she forgets about her labor pains.
Likewise, that after Jesus returns, we will all be so happy that
we won't have minded the difficult times just before He came back.
So, not to worry! The planet will not be destroyed, no matter what the secular scientists say. They only want to make us afraid
and look to them to save us with technology, instead of looking to
Jesus, who is our real savior.

Any one of those could end the earth! (except genocide)
The coming of the lord is the same thing as zombies comeing out of there graves.
rev 20:4-6 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. (scary huh!)
NUKES!
From a high of 65,000 active weapons in 1985, there were about 20,000 active nuclear weapons in the world in 2002. Many of the "decommissioned" weapons were simply stored or partially dismantled, not destroyed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_with_nuclear_weapons
At any time one nuke could go off starting the worst catastraphie on record.
Global waming by the year 2100 the earth will have an over all avg tempautre 5.8 pts higher then it is.
This may seem like a small amount but the factor of the ice caps melting is the situiaon. Also carbon dioxde build up with higher temputers causing plant death. In 100 years the world will have reached a close call of the end of the earth. Flooding, stravation, no oil. This is a definite!
But i will be dead! Thinking about jesus coming back it most be damn soon..i doubt it though...i think every one will look to the sky and say jesus and then no one ever comes to save them its so sad!
Yelow stone
Could blow any minute the worst naturel disaster of all time.
Imange yellow stone and global warming happening this is what will happen according to rev!
Well i better stop yammering peace be with you. ºoO

With 2,000 A.D., the end of the millennium, many expected the Messiah to jump out of the sky and fire to destroy the earth and the heavens. The Apostles’ writings, especially those of Peter, are the basis for this interpretation.
The epistles show that the Apostles believed the consummation of the heavens and earth and the Messiah’s appearance in glory would happen in their lifetime (Rom. 13:11; 1 Cor. 7:29, 15:51; 1 Thes. 4:17; 5:1). As we know, two thousand years have past since then and neither event has happened yet.
The Apostle Peter wrote two epistles or letters some two thousand years ago to the Gentiles “scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia (1 Pet. 1:1).” He told them that fire would destroy the heavens and the earth (2 Pet. 3:7-13). Many Christian scholars and Bible commentaries have interpreted Peter’s scriptures literally. Simply put, many think and believe that fire will destroy or vaporize the physical heavens and the earth, and another new earth and heaven will come into existence to replace the old ones. What this means many Christians do not understand.
The exact quote is as follows. “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with Yahweh (the Lord) as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Yahweh (the Lord) is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of Yahweh (the Lord) will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of Elohim (God), wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness (2 Pet 3:7-13).”

The world will not end but all human life will be removed from it by nuclear war. This war will start in the Middle East and spread to Russia. Russia will side with the militants against America.
This will lead to North Korea getting the green light for a nuclear assault against the south.
America would respond by attacking with tactical nukes. China would jump in and start launching nukes at America, soon it will be a free for all and bye bye humanity.

Relativistic bombardment by aliens. A few thousand rocks moving close to the speed of light hit in two waves, wiping out first one hemisphere, and then the other.
The planet will remain, but all life on land and almost all in the ocean will be toast.

We'll either blow ourselves to hell with nukes, or global warming will go past the point of no return in nine or ten years.
Or if neither of those happen, the sun will eventually envelop the Earth anyway.

As the Sun runs out of fuel, it will expand until it swallows the Earth and burns it to a cinder. This will happen in about 5 billion years, I think.

By people who want it to. Those who hate the world -- spiritually barren as it too often is, and despite our illusions, spiritually silent -- tend to put more muscle into things than those who love it for what it is. The over-the-top poetic irony is that time and again, those chasing imaginary demons turn into the real ones.

Very quickly. That isn't the concern. It's after that counts. I'm kind of looking forward to that, myself.
