I honestly think a lot of people use the word ignorant without actually knowing what it means themselves (ignorant of ignorant).. I mean I'm racist, homophobic (literally afraid of gay people, not that made up definition) AND I dislike gay people... but I'm not ignorant at all.

weeelll. 'stupid' means you've been told something and you still don't understand. 'ignorant' means you don't know something because you've never been told. it's much nicer to say someone is ignorant because then it's not their fault because they've never been told.

Well from the description of your self I would say that it would be right for someone to not only throw the words, stupid, and ignorant at you, but also anything else that comes across their mind

MANY PEOPLE MISS USE THE WORD IGNORANT. IN YOUR CASE YOU ARE EXPRESSING THE WAY YOU FEEL. IF PEOPLE CALL YOU IGNORANT THEY JUST SEE YOU AS BEING RUDE AND NON ACCEPTIVE OF OTHER PEOPLE (GAY PEOPLE). YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO IT. IT'S IN THE BIBLE ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY. GOD DESTROYED THE PEOPLE AND THE LAND BECAUSE OF IT.
