I call 911, someone is breaking into my shed?

I call 911, someone is breaking into my shed?
So I call them and tell them someone is breaking into my shed in back of my house. They tell me police are busy and it could take them up to an hour to respond. So I hang up. I call back and tell them I shot the MOFO breaking into my shed, four cars arrived in under 2 minutes. What's the deal with that?

Cops are idiots. Plain and simple.

It is the same thing as in the emergency room were they have to rank the nature of an emergency. A sliver waits, a heart attack gets quick service. Breaking into a shed had no personel injury and relatively speaking litle property damage. A shotting has immediate personel injury and bodily harm.
And usless you did shot them (attempted murder as you were in no immediate danger), you just made a false report which is also a crime.

at least someone answered the phone. here in mesa, az they put you on hold, if they even answer, then they disconnect you. the house next door burnt down, it took several people calling over and over before 911 answered, 20 min later. i don't know what the deal is in either case. we lived in phoenix,az and never had any problem getting a hold of 911 or their response time.where do you live?

I imagine the police force considered a shooting a higher priority than whatever else was taking their time?

Either that, or people have a tendency to slack off and think they're busier than they actually are.
