When you say "driven by most people", this would imply the current world best seller; true, it used to be the VW Golf at one time, and the VW Bug before that, but it is now, I hear, the Toyota Corolla, which comes in many guises - it is also called the Toyota Levin, the Toyota Sprinter, Toyota Marino, Toyota Will, etc. - hence, it isn't immediately that obvious, but the fact is that the majority of car owners on this planet are scooting around on a platform which was made for the Corolla).
