If it doesnt snap right back. You probably busted one of the springs or the hooks that kepp it on the keyboard. You will have to call your manufacturer and have them replace the keyboard. Make sure you specify all you need is the entire keybaord piece (dont ask for a new space bar) . Keyboards are usually pretty easy to swap even on a laptop. IF your still under warranty they may offer to fix it for you.

There should be a clip on the backside and some hooks on the base to snap it in, however a lot of times this can be tricky to do, if the laptop is still under warranty I would call support and ask them to send a replacement keyboard out, at least on Dell laptop's it is easier to replace the whole keyboard than trying to fix one key.

If it doesn't go on when you press on it...I would suggest to go buy a new one...they're pretty cheap these days. Or maybe take one from another computer (family member, friend, etc) that doesn't need it. You can also go to craigslist.com and go to the 'free' page in your city (be sure to click on the closest city to you!) and see if someone has a spare to offer. :) By the way...it's an awesome webpage for just about anything! Good Luck! :)

It has to go back on, just push it with a little bit more than what you're doing now.
