Almost 2 years ago, one of the UK's largest Electronics Resalers announced 'They were no longer selling VCR's ' !!!!

The humble Philips Compact Cassette has indeed been in decline for about 7 years or more.... mainly due to CD's .... and slightly to Minidisc (which I think is great!.... Supper quality in a small size package!).....

MP3 players, and the iPod in particular, have seen off many rivals in the 'portable audio war'..... What next?

Some other thoughts...... I still remember Records...... and even have an 8-Track player and a number of cartridges that I was given, and will repair sometime soon!!!!

Cassette tapes have been gone for a decade now, and VHS for half that.

I had a collection of cassettes many years in the past, yet i wager I favor CDs because the tape interior them is truly stressful even as it receives tousled. and do not even ask about rewinding. Vinyl is superb, i wager. I surely have some. i do not truly like procuring albums digitally, i opt to possess demanding copies.
