There is some speculation that groups of people feel a kindred-ship with a group that has something really terrible to say about another group. So a group that calls themselves "the scabbers" really call down the group that is called "the scrapers". (both, fictional names). Using the negative point of view of the other group, these gain strength on the failings of others.
If Adolf Hitler and others like him did not have the unifying news of hate, he would not have been as popular or gained so much strength.
So it is with American politics. If a candidate uses negative advertisement, the voters should be suspicious and vote for the other guy anyway.

Some people have had bad experiences with certain people who might've been of a certain race, and that has caused them to hate and generalize other people in that race.
It might be through word of mouth, or the constant need of human beings to fit in. If a friend of yours or someone close to you is racist, then tendencies are that you will be too, just because you fear that the relationship will be affected negatively.
It can also be because some people are afraid. When humans get afraid, they want to destroy whatever is creating that fear (just like some people and their fear of bugs). But since no one can kill people just for that reason(at least not legally, or without commiting sin), or they can't kill the whole race altogether, people just make do with shunning them out of society, which in a way is destroying them too. The need for human beings to feel secure is illustrated in the fact that they do even the most inhumane things to feel safe, secure and loved.

It goes way back to Slavery Days. It's also starts at home with
their parents, sibling and other family members. My Grand-
daughters are mix 50% Mexican/American,25% Black,25%
White. All I see is two beautiful Children. But the other grandparents have there doubt about them because they both
look like my daughter when they were born. Now the 3yr. old
has some of her Dads feature and they acknowledge her. The 7
month old they don't ask for her. Which I think their very STUPID
Because they are from the same parents. Now that is Racist.
I don't talk to them because their STUPIDITY.

People are racist for many reasons. Some were born into a racist family, some have bad experiences with other races, some just chose that way because of their own reasons, some follow their peers or groups, some slowly become that way because of emotional problems, etc. Some people just hate. Don't make it right.

let's be real there are differences between people's culture and race. when we choose to deny we are fooling ourselves. the problem is people choosing not to except those differences and are all caught up in believing that their culture and way of life is the only way or the right way.we all have ignorant, rude, and unintelligent people in our race. stop believing everything you read about and see on t.v. people are quick to judge a whole race on incidents that may have occurred either to them or someone they know. take the time and meet someone outside your race and culture get know them with an open mind. you might be surprised. you won't like everything they say and do but you will learn a thing or two.

People are attracted to what makes them feel comfortable. They are repealed by what makes them feel uncomfortable. That is human nature. Where the problem comes in is when emotions are used to judge what makes them feel comfortable. Racism is a from of hate and hate is a coward. Hate needs to be with its own kind and that is others that it feels comfortable around. They use their eyes only to make a judgment of what is comfortable. Emotion then becomes the problem because the judgment is based solely on emotion of what the eyes see.
To truly be accepting of others one must step out of their comfort zone and step out blindly. Only the emotion of love can do that. Love doesn't seek its own kind but will reach to seek friendship with others. It is not based on what is seen but what is truly felt.
It is very hard to do but it is well worth the time.

There are two primary reasons why people become racist. The first is that they become racist as a projection of their own self-loathing. The second is because they fear what they do not know or understand about other peoples.

Probably because they were raised that way. Or they're xenophobic.
Or they've looked at the world around them, done research and drawn their own conclusions.
Which are wrong in my liberal opinion, but hey. To each his own, as much as it sucks for a lot of people.

Your question is poorly worded. You are implying that all people are racist. They are not. In fact, most people are NOT racist.
A racist is someone who believes in the inherent superiority of one race over another. Adolph Hitler was a racist. Members of Hamas and Hezbullah are racists.

As long as the Democrats can keep us fractured through the use of Affirmative Action, for example, they can continue to manipulate minority groups. So , you see, its about money and power.
