Talk to them? Point at things and tell them what they are and hold "conversations" with them even before they begin to talk. It helps them learn.

There is Reading talking to your baby and there is enjoying out door activities. But using full sentences and reading to your baby help develop speech, drawing painting coloring, playing with shapes give build your child's visual and eye hand coordination.

Dont talk to the baby like a baby. Talk to him like anyone eles. Let him watch your month as you talk. And singing slow songs . This will help him hear the words better.

Sleep! An age-appropriate nap schedule and solid, unfractured nighttime sleep. It's a truly wonderful thing for the whole family.

Always talk to them in normal words,never use baby-talk as it just confuses them. Love them, kiss them and hug them, never try to teach a child something by hitting them. They wom't learn anything except that the people who love him/her hurt them, Babies can be taught through loving actions but never by violent ones.

I would also say reading. I have heard that even beginning to read to them while in the womb makes a big difference.

Loving, cuddling, reading to your baby. Talking to your baby all the time. Come to them when they cry. Stroking, massaging them.

Love them and cuddle and talk with them. Also, advertise on them, gets them lots of attention. My mom did it on me!
