Many laws, not all, are designed for the good of all society.
Whether you are gay or straight and someone gay or straight assaults you, they can be arrested and charged with a misdemeanor or felony etc. So you see, you do have laws
to protect you. Special laws designed to protect gays which are generally promoted by left wing loony tune legislators and activist judges do occur here and there which is probably why you are asking this question. Thankfully there are many
serious minded, good thinking people who monitor these
aberrations and are actively involved in bringing these things
to the attention of the general public. You could say you are
one of them by asking this question. So thank-you.

There are lots of games you can play with a question like this. For example, why are there laws that protect employees from employers and not the other way around? Employers are legally required to provide for the minimum economic needs of their employees by paying a minimum wage. But there is no reciprocal law. There is no minimum productivity law requiring that employees work at a sufficiently diligent level that they earn the minimum wage. There are other kinds of labor laws which only protect the employees while treating the employers as if they have to protect themselves without government's help.

Which laws are there that protect homosexuals from heterosexuals? ... I'm not sure I've ever heard of such a thing. If you're talking about the laws that are in place for hate crimes or gay bashing, well, those aren't really specific for gay people. They are called 'battery', 'assualt', and 'murder', and the last time I checked, they still applied to heterosexual people as well.
There certainly a multitude of laws that deny homosexuals the same rights as heterosexuals.
And, what specifically do you need protection from gays and lesbians for ... ?

I think what you are referring to is laws concerning hate crimes. If a gay man or lesbian woman were to attack a straight man or woman because they are straight then that would constitute a hate crime and they would be charged. Funny thing is, gay men and lesbian women don't seem to be in the habit of being fuckwits when it comes to other people's sexuality.

Assuming that your question is really about including gay and lesbian citizens among those groups protected by hate-crimes legislation, I refer you to the following site.
