If you know what to look for, you can identify the ABS pump somewhere under your hood.
It is a rectangular and aluminum block with whole bunch of metal pipes coming out. It may say "BOUSH" or "ABS" on it.
Otherwise, see your manual - or the sales literature if you still have it.
ABS light should come on for the first few second after you turn your car on, and never come on, unless there is a malfunction.
If you are sensitive, you can also feel the ABS pump kick in, in excercise mode just a few second after you reach 5 mph or so ONCE after your turn your car on.
It sounds like "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrup"

someplace there is been a failure of verbal replace. ABS autos have the comparable pads as non ABS ones. What i'm useful has got here concerning to right it is that pads have been geared up with pad placed on sensor wires. some vehicles use those and a few do no longer. in case your vehicle does not want them then the wires could desire to be decrease off. Non sensor pads are many times purely a touch extra much less costly yet aside from the wires are same to sensor pads. New pads will sense much less powerful in the commencing up as they could desire to placed on a touch to heavily experience the worn floor of the disc (US=rotor), so evade complicated braking for the 1st 250 miles. After that, they would be superb in the event that they are offered from an outstanding enterprise.

Usually when you turn on the switch, the abs light will light for a second or two, then go off.
If this happens you have abs, it there is no light that lights you don't have it.
One way to tell, is to see if you have an electrical wire going to your brake rotors.

If you have the ABS light, you have ABS brakes.
The light should flash briefly when you start the car, so you can check the light itself is working, but otherwise it will only come on if the ABS function fails somehow. If it doesn't come on when you start, have a mechanic check it out.
