I think maybe you have given too much of your self... your time, life and effort to others... to the point where you feel drained and all 'given' out!
There are not many self-sacrificing people like you on planet Earth at the present time... so naturally, there is not much appreciation of your efforts!
And that is what maybe is making you feel like you are taken for granted... forgotten or even used.
What you need is some real TLC, which I would like to give you via this email. You are kind, good and special... or you would not find it in your heart to help others even less fortunate than yourself. So, give yourself a break.... a pat on the back for your unselfish efforts and your caring.
Then, take a few days off to spoil yourself... in any way that you can... from the ultra simple - like bubble baths.... to the really cool - like a day in the country; a day in bed with chocolates and books, or a day just sitting with strangers; laughing, chatting and sharing life's little idiosyncrasies. Stay away from the normal people you see and know.... just for a while. It's amazing how you will miss the son's of guns!!

hey Huns, sorry your getting some negative answers, hey there is quite a few things to get ya self out of the same old same new rut, first of all, is you firstly need to feel better about yourself and build some confidence, try going to classes of intreast, maybe a dance or drama class, get a new circle of friends that make you feel good, you didnt mention what type of family, is it Mom Dad, bro & sis or a Hubby n kids, but also as one other person said set your self a reasonable challenge, I find helping people worse off than yourself a great charetor building thing that way you both get some thing out of life, pretty soon your relised your loved, and that it cud be worse, try not to beat ya self up, we all deserve to be selfish from time to time and tha fact your asking for advice, shows your well on your way to doing that, well done for having the balls to ask for help, that takes a lot, good luck and if you need suport ask more questions and ignore the negativity, its all possitive from here huns, God bless and I really mean it hope you get to a place that you want to be, that fills your heart and soul with quality and great new friends, no go out there n get it, keep intouch eh! (sorry about the spelling)

What do you mean by sick of yourself - Are you not successful in life? What do you mean by sick of family and friends - are they taking you for granted or something? A positive person doesn't get fed up of life. I suspect it's the result of things not going smoothly in life. Maybe you over react or worry too much on certain things. Whatever it is, relax. It'll be over very soon.

SICK, you should think of it this way, you should be so lucky, some don't have family or friends or much of a life to be sick of. Here is a sure fire way to snap out of it, Do some volunteer work for the elderly or children's hospital, this way you can help others and see what you are overlooking in your life. Good luck.

i know what you are talking about, its hard to cut them off compeletely as they rely on you

i have personaly set myself some goals(some part time courses that i always wanted to do) and now focusing on my goals and making efforts to achieve them, gives me great escape from every 1, they understand that i am busy, so kind of leave me alone for a while.

think what would make you very happy(not holidays or something requires a lot of money spending) may be learning a new sport/skill. and work hard to achieve it

let me know how you got on or if you have found a better solution

Treat yourself to something you wouldn't normally do - go on weekend break, do something you think would be exciting. Wake up and decide to yourself you are going to smile at everyone - I bet they will smile back. Try it - it works and it will make you feel better.
