Prune juice works but most kids don't like the taste too much. Apple juice works the same way and kids like it. Children's Glycerin Suppositories will help break down what's already there and will stimulate her to go #2. Use only once a day.
Drinking a lot of water especially now that' it has been freaky hot.

Have her drink some hot water and sit her on the toliet with a magazine.
Glyeserine supporitories are inexpensive. Take a trip to a drug store and look at the packages of laxatives and their recommendations....especially age.
Make sure she is drinking water and other fluids.
You can also give her a little enema. REad instructions on the package.
Exercise can help her bowels move also.
If this continues and she has a great deal of pain you need to get her to a doctor asap

She might be scared to go to the bathroom. My advice is NOT to give her laxatives. Give her something like oatmeal and lots of fiber to make her go. Medication might be a little rough on her tummy. I hope she goes!

Try prunes and/or prune juice. If she is having abdominal pain, fevers, chills, pain with urination, or anything else than just constipation, she has to be seen by a doctor, insurance or no.

I understand your deli-ma without insurance, but please don't compromise your child's health. A bowel blockage can lead to life threatening situations in small children...get medical help....maybe your area has a free clinic....your local health dept. could help...
