It's the fact that the man wants to be controlling, and put these women down so they can have control...

The reason for humans of the male gender (I can't call this particular species "men") abusing women is that they are stupid, sick, immature, control freak morons.
I also agree with one of the other answerers, if the dumbasses would listen in the first place we'd all be better off!
