Wow.

As if I weren't already, in so many ways.
I think imagining my "self" in another thing would mean I'd have to a) acknowledge personal identity b) think that this identity relation were reducible to a chain of mental states.

Given that "my mind" would be transfered into a vessel suitable enough to sustain mental activity-- I'd probably pick something mobile, since I feel myself to be perambulatory. Like a tumbleweed or a waterfall, a dandelion seed, or the wind.

Ah, but! therein lies the problem.. what we are is changing, how can a mind be fastened to that which does not exist but in the moment. Relations forward and backward! Okay. But how could such relations exist, if all I ever experience is a moment.. they remain possibilities in a chain that looks more like a grain of sand, suspended in the middle of an hour glass.

If the choice is within small objects, then, something like a spiritual-wandering-monk's walking stick, traditional wooden footwear, something like that.. so that I do not miss..... his words, his wanderings, his experiences, everything he touches, sees, feels, etc... normally these enlightened people dont forsake or leave behind anywhere these small but useful things. Only way to ensure that we are also inseparable from them and their 'life' !
But if any object is the choice, why not thing big, why not become this whole earth, so as not to miss ANYTHING !, and still better, the whole universe, so that we contain the whole galaxy, many milky ways, and that universal splendour !

Don't know. I would want to be something long lasting. Something that will make people happy.

Maybe a teddy bear (although it's not really long lasting) or a painting.
