in san antonio ther are too many to list due to its history with the alamo but one that sticks out is the ghost tracks where a school bus was hit by a train and killed everyone on board now when you go to the tracks the spirits push the car over the tracks and when they are done you can pull over and see hand prints on the car

It's not exactly 'local', but there's a "haunted" area not far from me. Stull, Kansas. Supposedly the ex-church (I say ex because the whole church was 'dozed and now it's rubble) has a stairwell that is the stairwell to Hell, and the Devil comes out to play every year. Of course, there are plenty of 'firsthand accounts' but nothing's ever been on official record, and there's now police surveilance around the churchyard due to tresspassers, vandals, and generally noisy kids who want to see the devil. It's pretty interesting, you should look up Stull Kansas sometime. I know I left a bunch of stuff out, but there's just way too much to convey over a Yahoo answer. Hehe.

we have an old manor house here in NC near where I live. Legends as to why its haunted vary but several business have tried and failed there including a fancy restaurant. Local legend has it that the wait staff were setting up for a private dinner when they needed to go downstairs for something. Halfway down the stairs they heard a bang and a crash, when they went back upstairs all the dishes were broken on the floor. After that many staff quit. Factually I do know that that restaurant did not last long at all.
