Sheer cover is the best.

Since Neutrogena now makes mineral make-up, I wouldn't recommend Bare Minerals. First, it's messy. If you breathe too close to that stuff it gets all over the place. Second, it wipes off. If you rub a tissue to your face (i.e. blow your nose), you will find some of the product on the tissue. Third, it doens't stand up to humidity at all. I live in San Antonio where it is humid most of the year, and I have had to find an alternative to BE. Fourth, it's expensive.

However, the Mineral Veil is fantastic. It leaves skin a little matte and soft. If you wanted to use BM as a cover-up, you would just use the concealor brush and a little water.

Overall, BE isn't terrible, but it isn't worth the money. I slept with it on and didn't break out, which is a first. Unfortunately, the downsides outweigh the postitives.

I use and love it. I have redness and tissue scars and it covers it up really good. You also feel like there is nothing on your face. It does take a lot of steps (at least 3) but it doesnt take long to put it on. It usually takes me less than 5 minutes to but on my makeup (that's without eye makeup). If you are unsure you can always go to a Bare Essentuals store or if there is none near you to Sephora. They will do a free makeover on you and can even show you how to use it.

I tried this stuff this week at Sephora. I put it over a scratch on my arm and it did cover about 80% of the redness, which surprised me. It's not going to cover large pores/lines or other skin texture flaws, though, and it has a lot of mica in it which makes it pretty sparkly under good light. It also has a lot of steps to the whole application and powder is a mess. I think it could work OK for someone with fairly smooth skin who didn't mind the sparkle and the steps involved. I wouldn't use it myself, though.

I've used it and for about 2 months and I love it. Does it cover up? It depends on how you apply it. But if applied properly (you get instructions in the starter kit) it is wonderful! Sometimes I do need to put a creamy concealer on a trouble spot befor the Bare Minerals, but it layers very well. Plus it's good for your skin!

I wasn't very impressed. When I got it I thought I would be wearing it everyday to cover up my Rosie red cheeks, no such luck. It was like they say, like your wearing nothing at all, I really could not tell I had it on. But I do like the Warmth, i still use that over my regular foundation.

I used it before and thought it was very good (in the winter) There is alot of humidity where I live so in the summer it looks "gummy".
