Thats an odd question. All things that are living today have 'evolved over time' as you say. Some of the older ones would probably include fish. If you are looking for one of the original creatures that we all evolved from you probably wont find it in the animal kingdom.

As far as organisms, bacteria have been around for some time.

Every creature on the planet is the product of evolution from some original origin. Many selective forces throughout time have acted on creatures that were and they have evolved into creatures that exist today. Some creatures like cockroaches were designed perfectly from the get go and have not changes at all hardly. The fossil record shows that anatomically and physiologically, they are identical.........they just got a little smaller.........thats where the evolution aspect takes over

I was watching a program last night that featured this really large fish that was thought to be extinct but in 1928 this fisherman caught one. Apparantly some pre-historic sealife was able to avoid extinction via nature by adapting to living in deeper, colder waters. This may account for the possibility of the existence of the Loch Ness Monster which may be an animal called the platyasaourus.

I assume you mean, a prehistoric animal that's around to this day?

The coelacanth is a good one. Not exactly the same as it was 300 million years ago or some such, but almost the same.

Sharks have been around for a very long time too, pretty much unchanged.

maybe you should be asking what animal has NOT evolved over time but is still surviving today....such as the Oppossum, and alligator..etc. These animals have barely changed over the centuries.

All of them - at least all that are alive today are here because their ancestors evolved to maintain a good fit with their environment.
