Yes, you pretty much go back to your normal size.

It can be pretty uncomfortable afterwards for the woman, especially if you had any tears.

I can only speak from my experience. I had a vaginal birth so I can definitely answer this question. Yes you do go back to your normal size. Feels tighter for me because scar tissue from tear heals up thicker.

However, if you have an episiotomy (depending on the size of the cut), this may affect the sensitivity down there (not the size) which is the bigger picture when you are having sex. For some (like my sister) who had a vaginal tear from front to back (worst there is), she states it is painful to have sex now where before it wasn't. However, for me, I only had a slight tear (hardly worth mentioning) with no episiotomy and have no problem. If anything, its more pleasurable to have sex, probably because it formed scar tissue in the vaginal area where it healed up and so its tougher. It's not so much the looseness or size shrinking back as it is the sensitivity--you have alot of nerve endings down there. With an episiotomy some of those nerve endings may be severed. Hope this helps.

Depends on age, genetics, and muscle tone. You can help by practicing Kegel exercises to strengthen the pubococcygeal (P.C.) muscles, otherwise known as the pelvic floor muscles. These are the muscles that keep you use to start and stop the flow of urine, as well as helping to push during delivery. Makes sense to keep them toned up. The stronger they are, the faster they'll rebound to their original shape. And although your vagina may change after birth (hard to imagine that it won't after squeezing a 7 lb. watermelon through a hole the size of a lemon), it will be very nearly the same. The human body is an amazing machine.

Kegels are highly recommended for women after giving birth , and as they age to help retain maximum genital function. There are added benefits aside from tightness; your male partner will enjoy your increased muscular control (eg: the "elevator" exercise), and you will enjoy benefits such as increased blood flow to the pelvic area and, thus, greater sensitivity. This means that it will take you less time to become sexually aroused, and orgasms have been reported to be much more intense. Plus you won't have to worry about needing adult diapers anytime soon. ;)

Google 'kegel' and see what you come up with. Good luck!

To be honest it depends on what the man has in his head. But hear this, do a lot of vaginal exercise after birth and you will be back to your size for the most part.

It is looser and so you work on the gripping muscle (I forget the name of it) by squeezing around your guy and then holding him-like any muscle the more you use it the stronger it gets-and if you wait till his time and do it it is the most pleasurable sensation-right at climax but then be careful because you might have another one on the way ;-)

Im not exactly sure but I can tell you from experience I know this sound horrible but when I had my daughter I didnt rip or they didnt have to cut me and it went back to normal size. only thing that didnt would be my hips. they are alot wider than they were before. I heard that if you do keegle (dont know how to spell it)
exercises if helps tighten the muscle there so you can do that also.

I think the answer depends to some degree on whether there was any vaginal tearing during birth, how much it was and how the doc "repaired" it. I think it is certainly possible for it to be more loose.

It is a very elastic muscle that relaxes when giving birth. Unless you make a habit of stretching it out with grossly large objects, it should go back to its original size.

It took my wife a month to completely heal! Yes it goes back to normal size but it was not as tight.

Honestly, I ripped from my anus to my clitoris. My youngest actually ripped my clitoris in half. I got stitched up and am exactly the same. My fiance tells me all the time how it feels. So, yes, you do go back to your normal size.
