Cuz we live in this world and because we are causing it. Its not like there are no alternatives, its just that either those alternative are too expensve, or they have terrible disadvantages or they cannot provide a sufficient amount of energy 24/7, like the current energy and fuel we use (which is one of the reasons behind global arming)

We will suffer the consequences of global warming because of the reluctance of corporate executives and political leaders to acknowledge that there is even a problem, much less do anything about it.

Our planet is doing what it does. It's completely natural. When people freak out about it, what they are really concerned with is the change in quality of life for human beings. The planet itself couldn't care less if there are humans on it or not.
