THE TRUTH. YOU ARE RIGHT, NOT MANY PEOPLE CARE ABOUT OTHERS. HOWEVER, THERE ARE THE SLIGHT FEW WHO TRULY DO. IT IS HARD TO FIND A GENUINE PERSON. MOST PEOPLE ARE IN IT FOR SHOW OR WANT SOMETHING IN RETURN. GOD HAS APPOINTED PEOPLE TO HELP OTHERS WHO TRULY DO CARE. THE DIFFERENCE, IF YOU TRULY CARE YOU DO IT FROM YOUR HEART WITH NO EXPECTATIONS OF GETTING ANYTHING IN RETURN. NOT EVEN A SMILE OR A THANK YOU. YOU WILL REAP YOUR AWARD(S) WHEN YOU REACH HEAVEN. IF YOU EVER FIND THAT ONE PERSON WHO REALLY DOES CARE HOLD ON TO HIM/HER. FOR THEY ARE A BLESSING IN DISGUISE. GOD BLESS!!

Do you know I just saw a really hurtful answer on this site -- a woman who was obviously upset had received a flippant, hurtful response, and it made me really angry.
I do care and I think from some of the other answers I've seen that quite a lot of people out there do too- perhaps its those who lack life experience and are unable to give any serious response that feel the need to be juvenile - those of us who, whatever our age, have experienced pain are often able to show more empathy.
Anyone who can't be sensible should stick to providing flippant answers to the flippant questions and let those in need of advice get it from those who feel they can help.
God bless you too.

Good question!
I just need to know what's the point of having the most points
in this forum.Replies should be recommended the same as in the BBC Jive forum. Childish!
Whenever I come across a good reply where not many can pluck the courage to say what they are supposed to say, I feel like caring for the whole world. Being dismissive is the worst of all human flaws.

I actually try and give helpful answers and not doing it for the points.
I think a lot of people who answer here are quite young.
I do give damn and not sure if a service like this helps people or not but I don't think it harms people.
I am a 43 year old mother of 3 and I am so far finding it interesting. When I don't find it interesting anymore I will stop visiting the site.

I care about people.... I only answer a question seriously if it warrants a serious answer. I would never deliberately mislead someone with an answer and I think there are lots of people who ask questions on this site that could genuinely do with a bit of advice and guidance
Now.... enough of that I cant be arsed to wash up and am doing all i can to get out of it .... plus the points are always useful

Amen!!! I put a question here last night saying pretty much the same thing and I made the point that some did it for points, and that answers should be a certain length and not just about collecting points from yahoo. I got a mail from yahoo saying that I was being abusive (I did mention their name) and my question was deleted. I wont use this site after tonight for that one reason. Glad someone else feels the same...this site could have been really useful if planned and monitored properly...

Some do, some dont. People here are motivated by points, and give short simple answers so they can move on to the next question. Also, many of the questions asked are dumb.
Your question is very open ended, so its difficult to answer seriously. You should narrow it a bit and try again. I care about some things and I can care less about others.

Some of the responses on here are a little juvinile, but it is a site for all and some people like the juvinile responses and they add a little light and laughter, you can ignore them. i love answering questions on this site, i feel that if you have knowledge about something then it is great to share it. one of the problems in our society is ignorance, yet some people are ignorant through lack of opportunity, education or just experience and by answering these questions people are not getting biased one sided answers, they are getting genuine answers from real people and i think this information is invaluable. i spent three years doing a degree and i have had lots of life experience, what is the point in learning all that i have if i cannot share it, it also helps me to develope my opinions as some of the questions are things i had never thought about questionning.

Since I try not to swear I will answer you this; I do care about fellow human beings, and no, it's not too much to ask. I believe people that can not find joy in anything are unsatisfied with themselves, and this spews forth on others. And yes I want to live for many years, I am heterosexual and a Democrat. I also believe in God.
Some if the Q's&A's on this sight amaze, frustrate, irritate and teach me. After all, we are ONLY human. God Bless.

At about the age of, I don't know, five, eight years old I dissociated from my loving nature and walled off my heart. For the last twenty years I have asked myself 'Do I care about others?' Do I really care about the world or do I just pretend to go along with everybody else?
I now think I care about the whole world. It wasn't some miraculous breakthrough that helped me to answer this question. It remains a long and hard road that we all walk. I think everybody cares and they don't know how much. Good questions. Thanks x
