Yes, it would be counter productive, assuming that once a vampire bites a person, he or she also becomes a vampire. There's also another school of thought that in order to become a vampire, a person has to drink the blood of the vampire, so there is an exchange of blood. Otherwise, the person just becomes fodder.

There is another school of thought that "proves" that vampires do NOT exist - mathematics. The idea behind it is called geometric progression. Here's how: Let's say there's one vampire and he bites another person, and that person becomes a vampire. Then there's two vampires, who can bite two other people so then there are four vampires. And so on and so forth... You can probably Google it up and compute the number of days it takes the whole world to become a vampire. I'm guessing less than a year.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I've often thought about that too. I think the actual intent is to harvest humans in incubators so they have a ready supply of food. Almost like in the matrix, with little tubes running from thier bodys as they produce more yum juice for the undead souls. I'd love to be a vampire at that point, no more hiding in seclusion, constant partying (we all know vampires love to party), all the yummy souls you can eat... Ahhhh, heaven!

Vampires, in stories don't want to turn all humans into vampires. They use humans as food.

Not all people, as they take just enough to survive.

Standard movie is that the vampire must die and the battle of wills between good and evil.

LOL..well it would put the garlic farmers out of business thats for sure. I would think that there would be different levels of "vampirism" or what ever you want to call it.

exactly, i always wonder about that. when i watch blade at least. don't get me wrong i love blade. oh beautiful wesley snipes. ahem....excuse me. anyways, it would be counter productive maybe a few decades ago. since cloning has be proven they could just clone human blood or keep a few humans stashed away for emergencies.
